The Place It Begins

Doon Doon, in the Northern Rivers of NSW, is known for its rolling green hills and pockets of rainforest that hint at what once covered the region.

Like much of Australia’s east coast, large areas have been cleared over time, leaving behind fragmented ecosystems and reduced biodiversity.

Restoring this landscape isn’t simple. It takes time, care and a deep understanding of how ecosystems actually function.

Why ReForest Now

We partnered with ReForest Now because of the way they approach regeneration.

Since 2019, they’ve planted over 1,000,000 trees across Australia, with an exceptional 95% survival rate. Their work goes beyond planting, focusing on rebuilding entire ecosystems using a mix of pioneer, secondary and mature rainforest species.

This layered approach creates self-sustaining environments that can grow and evolve over time.

They also work closely with landholders in Northern NSW, restoring degraded land and reintroducing biodiversity to some of the most cleared regions, including the Big Scrub.

Importantly, their process is transparent, with detailed tracking, reporting and long-term care built into every project.

What We’ve Started Together

Through this partnership, every KOLEF bag sold helps plant a tree.

Together, we’ve funded our first 30 trees, contributing to a 15-hectare rainforest regeneration project in Doon Doon.

It’s a small start, but a meaningful one.

Because real change doesn’t happen all at once. It builds over time, through consistent, considered action.
